Summer Reading Program "Libraries Rock!"

Come and join the fun this Summer!   Begins the week of June 11, 2018.   Early registration starts June 1, 2018.

Between June 11th and July 27th, follow the directions on your “LIBRARIES ROCK!”  Reading and Activities Record. When you have a week’s worth of reading completed, return your reading record to the library for a special incentive. Each week your name will be entered into prize drawings, with the grand prize drawings taking place on August 3, 2018.  If you read all 6 weeks, your name will be entered 6 times!  Weekly incentives may include coupons from Subway, Culver’s, Pizza Hut, Jet's Pizza, and a paperback book of your choice.

There are also special events for those who wish to attend. Children who are elementary age are invited to programs on Wednesdays and Fridays. Special crafts and fun activities are listed below.

Each event is approximately 45-60 minutes.

Wordsmiths Creative Writer's Group

Meetings usually take place the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Spillman Library.  Please check the library website or call the library to be sure.

All aspiring writers are welcome to join a new Creative Writer's Group--this group is composed of poets, novelists, short story writers, children's authors, or songwriters.
