Library to Begin Working with Debt Collection Agency

Beginning in September of this year, the library will be working with Unique Management Services, which is a debt collection agency.  This is in response to items that are checked out from the library and never get returned back to us.   We hope to keep our materials available for all our patrons, and when items are not returned, the loss is felt by many.
Patrons will be contacted by this agency if they have lost items that have a value of $25 or more.  If they do not work toward a solution, their credit may also be affected.
At the library, we always try to find a workable solution if any materials are lost or damaged, so if you ever find yourself in this situation, please contact me.  Once the agency gets involved with a lost item account, additional fees will be added, so it is to your benefit to let me know of the problem right away.
Thank you so much for keeping your library account in good standing.

2014 Children’s Summer Reading Program

Come and join the fun this summer!

Summer Reading Program begins the week of June 9, 2014.  Come in, register, and start reading. Early registration begins on Monday, June 2, 2014.

Between June 9th and July 25th follow the directions on your “FIZZ BOOM READ” Reading and Activities Record. When you have a week’s worth of reading completed, return your reading record to the library for a special incentive. Each week your name will be entered into prize drawings and the grand prize drawing will take place on August 1, 2014.  If you read all 6 weeks, your name will be entered 6 times!

Weekly incentives may include coupons from Arby’s, Culver’s, Cherry Berry, Mc Donald’s, Pizza Hut, and a paperback book of your choice.
